EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/COUNSEL - Perry has been a specialist in design law for the last 20 years, representing Fortune 500 and smaller companies, as well as individual designers, in obtaining and enforcing design patents, copyrights and trade dress in their industrial designs. His practice includes work as an expert witness and consultant to litigators handling design patent and trade dress infringement lawsuits. He has published and lectured extensively on design law issues - his current article The Crisis in the Law of Designs is scheduled for publication in the Journal of the Patent & Trademark Office Society (JPTOS) in April, 2007. Mr. Saidman was the founder and first chair of the Industrial Designs Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), and currently serves as vice-chair of the Industrial Designs Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), co-chair of the Design Protection Section of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), and is on the Design Rights Subcommittee of the Emerging Issues Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). His boutique law firm, SAIDMAN DesignLaw Group, concentrates in legal issues involving designs and product configurations and is located just outside of Washington D.C. Prior to starting his boutique in 1990, Mr. Saidman was a founder and managing partner at Saidman, Sterne, Kessler & Goldstein in Washington DC.

DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH -
Theresa, who is co-author of A Manifesto on Industrial Design Protection: Resurrecting the Design Registration League, is a J.D. Candidate at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, Class of 2008. She received her A.B. in Philosophy from Harvard College in 1997. Before attending law school, she worked for movie producers in Hollywood.
